Heart of Italy

 

We dreamt about it. Then we planned it.  It happened.  Now we are reliving it.  Welcome to our collection of memories from June 2018. 

 

It stared with a birthday wish from Tom, a husband and father, who wanted to celebrate his 60th with a family vacation.  Plans, passports, and plane tickets later, he was off to Italy with his wife, Sue, and their children, Michael, Sarah and Richard.   

 

Sarah and Richard, that’s us.  We’re newly engaged, and thrilled to have been able to share this adventure together.  It was Rich’s first time traveling to Europe.  That’s something he and Michael had in common.  Tom and Sue (from now on referred to as Dad and Mom) had traveled to Italy 5 years prior to visit Sarah, who was studying abroad in Florence, Italy. 

 

Together the five of us were ready to hike, laugh, eat and drink through this milestone tour. 

 

Now, almost a year later, we are back to dreaming. Adventure awaits, and on the horizon, maybe a honeymoon in Greece?
